So this weekend I went to an orchard with friends to pick out some pumpkins and go on the haunted hay ride. ( We were bored) The orchard surprisingly had carnival rides and various animals that typically would not be on a farm. While walking along, we came across a cute little baby wallaby in a small cage... :( He was also shivering. Keep in mind I live in the midwest of the US and it is getting quite cold lately. I felt so bad for him and I kept trying to see if he could jump over the fence and I'd take him back to Australia.... I thought wallaby's lived in warm climates and I couldn't believe he was being kept as a exhibit.

Aw! Poor little Wally...That makes me think of my Helen...I've mentioned that before I adopted her she was part of a traveling side show. I wonder how many times she had to sit and shiver in a cage while people walked by and ogled her.

That is so wrong I would call some one and report this I am sure it is not allowed! I know here you need A license to have that kind of animal!

And Brooke every time you say that about Helen I crack up!

Well, when she's acting up, I do call her "mommy's little circus freak" and then I threaten to send her back to the carnival...she knows I don't mean it, though!

Thats A good one not many people can say that to their cat!
I used to tell the kids when they where small if they did not behave they had to go live with the circus!

Ugh- that breaks my heart - I hate seeing things like that. Poor wallaby.

Last month I went to Aruba and I hated seeing the stray dogs because some looked hungry. On the plane ride back Joe and I tallied up all the animals we fed while we were there: birds, lizards, dogs, and even one cat!
