Ok, you guys will never believe that this is the same dog - I sent pictures to some of the people that saw her right after I rescued her, and they're all shocked that it's the same dog!

First a couple of before shots

And now - Just look at the difference on this little dog!

She is doing very well now, I've got her eating pretty good, she's got more energy day by day, and has totally made a complete turn around! My vet and I have made the decision we're not going to attempt to remove the mammory tumors or worry about her bad teeth, she's just to old to handle anesthetic easily, so I'll just keep her as comfortable as I possible can, love her, and enjoy every day I'm blessed to have this darling little dog in my life!

Oh! She is cute, cute, cute! What is the story with her missing eye?
One of the many signs of the neglect this poor girl has suffered. My vet's best guess is that she got an infection in that eye that was left untreated for a long time, the infection basically ate away at the eye, there IS an eye in that socket, but it's useless, and shrunken, and it wasn't until we got the infection in that socket under control that we even realized there was still an eye in there at all!

It's amazing the difference that a little love and care can make to an animal. She looks like a new dog. :)

You said it! It really is amazing, this is definatly not the first dog I've seen such a dramatic change in with just a little bit of love and TLC! Love really is an extremely powerful medicine, especially for abandoned souls that just need some TLC! I love the oldies, wish me luck, I've promised the director of rescues at the HSU that I'd come in tomorrow and help her bathe, groom, and evaluate some of their newest intacts, I need a farm LOL
