I'm sorry I haven't been on much lately, it's been a very exhausting and stressful week! Hannah's had a really rough week, she's still having alot of trouble recovering from the surgery. Even after the 2nd surgery the stitches in the middle of her little nub of a tail have almost torn out again, the skin is just not healthy enough to hold them, but at least they haven't come out all the way yet and it's holding together somewhat. She's very feeble right now, she walks like an old lady, despite the pain killers you can just see that she's hurting! I'm praying that this is all just complications from her surgery and not a sign that the tumor has already made it into her back!!!! Yesterday was the first ok day I've had with her, but even yesterday was kind of rough. I'm hoping she continues to improve and soon we can put this nightmare behind us!!!!!

Well, yes and no, Yes, Hannah is the one with the necrotic tail, but she's one of my Italian Greyhounds, not a cat, although some days I really wonder if there's any difference between them and Sphynx LOL They act so much alike!

Been another rough day for Hannah, it's obvious now that despite antibiotics there's an infection again :( Her regular vet is out of town visiting family today but I did reach him on his cell phone, he told me to clean it out good with hydrogen peroxide, put plenty of neosporin on it a few times throughout the night and bring her in first thing tomorrow morning. Since he already knows what's going on with her and it's not an urgent situation I'm going to do just that and see how it goes tomorrow morning, poor dog just doesn't need any more set backs!

Not as fragile as they look, but they can be prone to leg breaks, especially the smaller ones. I've done Italian Greyhound Rescue for the last 5 years, I've placed over 200 and only had 3 dogs now with leg breaks, and I've never had a leg break in my own dog. But alot of that with my own dogs is conditioning, I do alot of agility, lure coursing, and active sports with my IGs, even my little 9 lb Aiyana. When they're kept in good physical condition and have really good muscle, they are much less likely to break a leg.
