I took 5e to the vet for a check-up, and followup and stuff...

He, of course, charmed everyone!

My boy is now a cyborg (microchipped )

turns out the ear mites he had are gone, but the left over ear discharge has caused a yeast and bacterial infection-- fairly easy to treat, but he doesn't like it at all.

now that he's been the vet a couple of times, he's decided the warmest place in the exam room is my shoulder-- and he will jump from anywhere in the room to get there:LOL: -very entertaining, but makes getting him to stay for injections and exam tough.

As a side note, if the vet asks for a fecal sample, freezing it so you don't have to deal with smell doesn't work:Smile: . they just tell you to bring as new one next time.

:LOL::Hysterical: What are you like freezing the poo!!! Did they not give you a little sample pot to put it in?! I'm glad the ear mites have gone! At least you can get 5e to come out of his carrier when you get there! Thats the problem I have!

Yay for the good check up...and I am still laughing about the freezing poo! They told me it had to be fresh...so I came home from work and chaged the litter box...the sure fire way to make Hibou go in there, then rushed it to the vet office.

Hibou loves the vet office, good thing since we've been there like ten times since December. Trying to get her "sickness" in check.

Sounds like 5e is nearly 100% now! I hear you on the ear troubles- it's not easy to give the drops and they hate it! Sophie still hates any time I fuss with her ears but its gotten better with time.

LOL....glad the check up went well! Thats funny though....here in Canada we always tell clients that if they bring in a fecal sample it CANT be frozen.....the cells burst and are not identifyable....we always make sure to tell people here....brrr!
