Hi all!

I just got my boy Vinny on Friday. He is everything I could have hoped for and more. He’s a lynx point bambino and was born on July 1 so he’s just a few months old and is so tiny despite how big he looks in photos!

I’ve had a sphynx before but in my separation my ex got custody, so ever since then my heart has been searching for another kitty. I was hoping for a boy who was extremely cuddly and loved to snuggle and I got just that.. And I suppose that’s where my question comes in!

He never leaves my side. He follows me around the house everywhere. If I’m out of site for 2 minutes he will cry and cry and cry. He’s attached at my hip to the point where I feel guilty for leaving the house to get groceries.. Will he grow out of this? Am I babying him too much (is there such a thing with these ever so needy creatures?!) i adore this about them but I don’t remember my last Sphynx being this much of a suck!!

Welcome to sphynxlair. Congratulations with Vinny. What a handsome cutie. How greathe’s already so attached to you he want to be close to you every single minute. He’s in a whole new world for him. You are his safe haven so where you go, he’ll go. He will probably get a little more independent when he gets used to his new home andfeels comfy.

What a looker! Congratz on your baby! I can share my experience, but keep in mind they are individuals and every kitty is different. My first sphynx was a boy called Ossi. I wanted only one. My hubby and me worked 8-10 hrs a day. Ossi became lonely and depressed and we didn't understand this, not until one day we came home and he had carried a big blanket from the upper bedroom all the way down to the front door. When I opened the door he was sitting there, meowing at me. I felt heartbroken and started looking for a friend. But this is just my story. I think once they get comfy in a new home and grow up they do get more independent and confident and I know some cats prefer to be the king of the house.
Safe to say, I got the sphynx bug, now we have three of them in our house! I'm sure you'll figure it out, get to know each other and cherish this kitten time. It's so short and precious! Hugs to Vinny!

He’s absolutely beautiful! Look at those little legs and his buddah belly! XD

Can I ask, what does “lynx point” mean? I’ve seen that before but have no idea what that color term means??
