Hello,
I'm new to the lair and sphynx breed. I've had my baby girl Sabrina for just over a week now, she just turned 12 weeks today (the 1st.) When I took her to the vet the 1st time, 2 days after I got her she had a minor eye infection in her right eye and was prescribed eye drops. I gave them to her for a week and it's cleared up, still has gunk in her eyes sometimes but not green anymore.
However, just today I noticed when she was sleeping her nose is stuffed and she has little dried boogers on her nose. :( i wipe them away but them come back. She sneezed occasionally but nothing crazy. Her eyes water too, but no gunk. I hate seeing her like this and don't know if I should take her right away to the vet or wait until her check up in 2-3 weeks. She is eating, playing and going to the bathroom just fine. :) I love her so much!! advice/tips appreciated!!

First of all - welcome! What a cutie you have there! (y) As long as she is eating, drinking and using the bathroom ok, thats good, try some Lysine for her sniffles - http://sphynxlair.com/community/thr...o-i-give-my-15-week-old-sphynx-gremlin.11872/

Welcome to a The Lair. Your baby is adorable. Looks like you got great advice. If you see things start to get worse or color of mucous changes go back to the vet...URIs (upper respiratory infection) are common in these little guys and your vet might recommend an antibiotic.

Your baby is adorable!

I hope little Sabrina's feeling better soon! The Lysine is a good suggestion.
Some eye boogies are to be expected (from dust, pollen etc). Eudo had more eye boogies last winter when I, myself, was suffering from cedar pollen. She is so cute!!! Congratulations.

Welcome to sphynxlair, good to have you. Pretty little lady you have there.
I hope your baby get's well quickly. If not, I would take her to the Vet and wouldn't wait for
her check up.

Lysine is good but don't expect immediate results, it will take a little time for you to see some change but I deff recommend it! Our vet recommended 500 mg a day since he is a kitten. We feed it with his wet food half in the morning and half at night but they even have treats I hear!

Good luck with your beauty! Sending good vibes your way, I know what it feels like to have a sick baby!

Hey all ~ Thanks so much for all your tips!!
Little update on Sabrina
For some reason her nose boogies seemed to go away on their own after a day or 2. She still sneezes once in a while. Her eyes are looking way better as well, just normal clear goop or none at all. I got the lysine treats anyway just to keep her immune system strong and she gobbles them right up. Her check up is coming up and my brother is a vet tech so I can ask him when I can't get on The Lair.
