Hi all, I have a 4 week old kitten that at about 2 weeks old he seemed to have an eye infection. I started applying erythromycin ointment multiple times a day. However, he developed this black spot over his pupil. Looks weird. I am still doing the ointment but wondering if anyone else has seen this before. This is the best picture I could get.

@eeSphynx , awh.. poor baby. I had a sphynx with a small spot that got larger. I took him to vet and referral to cat ophthalmologist. ended up being a corneal sequestrum, and secondary keratosis. he got idoxuridine drops and some meds , oflaxacin, and all cleared up within a few months. not saying that is what it is but I definitely would contact vet asap to rule out and get a diagnosis.
hugs n positive vibe head smooches.

side note, is he a kitten in a litter or got him at this very very early age?
such a sweet baby.
please keep us updated, all paws are family

Yeah I've been doing research and that's what I think it is. But unfortunately it looks like the eye drops idoxuridine are not longer available in the us. I've been trying to get my hands on some with no luck. Also he is a baby in a litter. She only had two and he's the only one with this issue.
