Hi All,

wanted to ask what do you think is the most important thing when choosing wet food.

I read online that it should be grain free but since in China is pretty impossible to find i need to buy the one import it from the US, which is way more expensive.

As such before i make this purchase i would like to ensure i buy the right thing.

Thank you as always
Chiara

@Hairless Blessing

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately can not find Blue Buffalo or Wilderness but i can get Royal Canin from Hong Kong (which is reasonable in terms of price, so it would be great if you think the quality is good)

Do you know if any Royal Canin is grain free? There are many variations and i am not too familiar as can not read the back being the description in Chinese

Royal Canin doesn't appear to be grain free, here is how they explain it though.

@Kiapi , I know tiki cat and Weruva are popular here in the US
And are made in Thailand - and no recalls
http://www.petropics.com

http://www.weruva.com

Soulistic is our a petco chain food made by weruva is my understanding

Is tiki cat or weruva available reasonably priced that you can get?
Perhaps you can contact the company and give your location
For availability

Royal Canin appears to be very popular in the US with breeders too.
I believe RC has a breeders frequent buyer program in the US

(Many of us feed grain inclusive foods with great results.
I feed Dr. Tim's Chase cat food which is sold internationally too. And has never been recalled.
I like the dr Tim's line too because it is meat base vs plant based like many foods..
And have read that a quality low ash chicken meal as a first ingredient actually has a higher percentage of protein.. Meat only listings as 1st ingredient once processed is actually by weight further down the list than listed on the bag-

I would not be afraid to feed a quality grain inclusive food with a quality meal as a first ingredient with no recall history.
Foods it seems to be marketing IMHO to people thinking that if it says a meat only as forst ingredient it must be better than a meal.

I also know that grain free is trading grains for Starches . There is also a lot of " ingredient splitting" to look for in food( ie pea listed then pea this or that listed further down the ingredient list)
I wish there were some long term studies of animals being fed grain free starch ingredients vs grains..)

I would not hesitate to feed tiki cat wet or weruva

Smiles n kitty smooches across the miles! :)

Allready given good advise and tips by the others. I only want to add that I think it's grains included are no problem as long as your cat is not allergic to it! Hope you find the right wet food for your babies.
