I have started having issues with my cats not wanting dry food as they have gotten older. Is it okay to give mostly wet? I always heard in the past dry is best but I have had discussions on here and some say wet is best?
So give me your thoughts or if you have vet knowledge on what they say is best?

Many feel wet food is better for Cats as it lessens the chance of developing urinary crystals etc. If they are not liking dry all of a sudden, you might ask your vet to check for any dental issues. The dry food might be hurting them when they chew if in fact they do have dental issues starting.

I agree with catzzzmeow, possibly a dental thing. So important to have a cats teeth cleaned yearly, especially as they get older. So expensive too :( Two of my previous kitties passed at age 16 with CRF. Due to this, I try and incorporate wet food several times a week with my nude.

Ok I will take them to have their teeth checked.
I had talked about teeth cleaning with the vet before. My boy has a heart murmur so they want to take it easy with any anesthesia but at least I'll know and if it has to be done they will be able to do it safely.
As for now I have bought wet food and will leave out some dry also.

Remember no Ketamine ! Anesthesia it can have a rebound effect on the heart Always discuss with your vet

Here is a dental product called Oratene brushless
They also make an antiseptic gel I keep on hand

My kitty started not like her Fromm cat food
She was fine health wise just got bored with it

I switched to what the sphynx aee eating - Nutrisource cat and kitten kibble in blue bag - she is fine
And they share wet food

Keep us updated on the vet visit
