Oh boy, I cast my vote for 5 options! Both boys make it almost impossible to open the door without them darting out into the backyard. I actually accidentally stepped on Finn yesterday on my way in from work. He must've been ready waiting for me to open it with my hands full, he darted right as my foot came in! Poor guy. Finn also starts to lick me right on my mouth (ew) very early in the mornings.

Yoda isn't so bad, his worst offense is during nail clipping times.

It is impossible to leave anything on the counters with Frida. I made two pumpkin pies and left them to cool on the stove covered in a tea towel. Not only did she walk across the tea towel putting footprints across the pies she also decided to eat 3/4 of the crust from around the edge of one and 1/4 of the crust from the second. Sigh, she couldn’t even leave me one unmunched pie to bring to my boyfriends parents place tomorrow.

But look at her! How could I ever be mad at that.

I only checked off sleeping above but Cleo’s favorite sport is “helping” my wife make the bed. Without fail Cleo immediately jumps on the bed as soon as her mom starts straightening the covers. Then as the two of them wrestle with blankets, pillows and wrinkles I can hear wifey talking then yelling at the “varmit “. Eventually Cleo comes bounding down the hall knowing she has won another battle.

I keep reassuring the wife she will outgrow this behavior (NOT).

Hmm, I couldn't choose any that make anything impossible, just a bit trickier shall we say.... Cooking definitely! He always jumps up on me, and now he can jump straight from the floor on to my shoulders(!), but he wants to go on the kitchen counter - NOT a good idea with boiling stuff and frying pan on the go!

For my hubby it's definitely going to the toilet! Butchie sneaks up behind him and pounces on his calves and bites his ankles when he's defenseless  He started sitting down to pee so that he can see him coming now! :ROFLMAO:

Laundry! Ugh I know it’s common for cats to like to get in the warm laundry but Ellie will stalk me with the pile and literally be waiting on the bed for me to dump it. Then she buries herself in there where I can only put away about half of it, lest I disturb her. Alternatively, if I happen to step away from the drier with a load still in there and warm she will simply climb in and not come out for 2 hours! So then I have a delay in the use of the machines. It takes me twice as long to do my laundry this way. I simply can’t shame her...she’s too sweet and cute.

@Catzzzmeow , you didn’t include the things that are impossible for me to do with our guys. Cleo won’t let me sing or count out loud. She also gets in the middle of us if Bob and I are talking, and especially if we are arguing (which, of course, we never do). She will actually get up in my face if any of those are happening, purring and talking to me, and insisting that I pay attention to her.

Both cats have to “help” us fold sheets. We fold the sheet in half lengthwise, and usually Cleo comes over and jumps in the middle of the sheet. We then have to swing the sheet back and forth while she rides and tumbles around in it. After a few swings, I count down, 1, 2, 3, and we swing the sheet over and land it on the loveseat, where she gets out. Marcus will also do it, only he wants us to swing him longer, and won’t get out if he isn’t through swinging. We’ve tried to get video of this, but haven’t been able to do it.

@Duglynukem , Cleopatra usually sits in my lap while I knit or weave on one of my small looms, but this year, she’s started helping me weave in a whole new way. Your baby and mine are sooo helpful!

Sometimes reading is a challenge. If I'm not careful Raphael will bite off a chunk of my page and eat it.

She also won't let me relax when she wants to play. She either comes and stabs me in the legs with her claws or she bites me until I get up and play.

Go on vacation.... We went to Italy for 2 weeks and returned with the bathroom shelves cleared of all the items. Our bedroom with clothes all over the floor, toppled plans and a completely destroyed roll of toilet paper!
But she was so happy to see us that she couldn't stop screaming to the top of her tiny lungs!

These stories are great! More!

Max is really good. The only thing he really interferes with is leaving the house -- he tries to escape, and if he does, he doesn't go far at all -- around our patio only.

Min, on the other hand, is a menace. We cannot keep any tissues or toilet paper around.

Min also "helps" me do laundry.

No soft clothes or blankets either.

This WAS Max's winter hat.

Min has to help me eat breakfast.

Otherwise... it's sort of peaceful. ha ha. But I wouldn't want it any other way (well, the tissue and soft fabrics gives me a sad).

I realized that they do interfere with my work (I work from home). Min suckles and snuggles me throughout the day and has knocked my headphone off my head while I've been on the phone with my clients!

Max REALLY makes work difficult.

Although he can sit in my inbox any time. I had to upgrade my plastic inboxes to metal ones for this very reason.

And they make it impossible to get out of my chair!

We've only had Rankle for a week and a half but I've already realised that eating with him in the room is impossible - even if he's fed first he'll gobble his down and come looking for more. Oh, and yesterday he stole the pastry lids from all of my freshly baked mince pies. Luckily he just took pastry and no mincemeat.

Also, we discovered - when I found a regurgitated lump of soggy plastic - that he has a bag chewing obsession. One of our (sadly departed) Siamese used to chew plastic so we're used to hiding bags away but it is a nuisance (and worrying). Still, we wouldn't be without him; even my husband admits that he's smitten with the wrinkly little sod.
