I would say it is fine to get another one I would say since you have A female to get another or as long as every one is fixed A male is ok but having A male and female you take the chance of the male marking his territory where ever he want's! I have A pair I am breeding and it gets tricky I guess that is why most people cage their male or he lives some place else and they only let them together when needed. Mine are both my pets and I love them so they both have full roam of my house, and yes he does go potty places beside his box, so for me it is clean, clean, clean. I will also say that sphynx love company so 2 is great because they are never alone even when you are not.

I have been wondering this same thing! We would like to get another sphynx (a sister for Buffy) but we have wondered if it will serously change the dynamic of our relationship because she follows us around and wants to be held a lot. Will that change?

Jazelle does the same thing! She sleeps right next to me and follows us around. I would love to get her a friend when we are working. I hate leaving her alone..

I think it does change slightly, but nothing severe,in our case we got leonidas first then athena, both were kittens,it took about a week for them to get along, but thats the case for most new pets.I think your first baby will be just that, your first baby. They will be fine and one cat may like hubby a tad bit more or your first may take to you a bit more etc,but in the end they both end up in your bed under the blankies as one big family.:tinysmile_twink_t:

p.s. they do enjoy each other during the day, because i will find them snuggled together under the covers when i get home.

I had the same concern when I was considering getting another kitty. I wanted a companion for my kitty, Milky, who is about 5 yrs old. I did a lot of reasearch because I was concerned if they would get along or not, but I have read sphynx's like companions.

I got another sphynx who is 1 yr old (River) about 3 months ago. The first day we brought him home, all he wanted to do is play with Milky. He would follow her around and harass her... and she would just smack him in the face... but he would keep doing it...he was very persistant.

They did this for about 3 weeks and Milky finally got used to him being around... they sleep together during the day and keep eachother company. Sometimes he still gets on her nerves though!!!! It just takes time. I hope this helped.

Yes i forgot the smacking oops I mean boxing but I got my 2 sphynx about 3 weeks apart and it has been about 2 years and the still box, but they do lov each other and love to play and snuggle. I think for me having more than one is good we are a family of 4 and love having our sphynx on our lap.:tinysmile_grin_t:
