i think the owner forged her documents that said she just got an exam and everything was negative I watched her take her first bowel movement once she was here and I saw three little worms the size and shape of rice, and alive. She's thrown up once also. Her ears had dirt on the outside and a bunch of wax on the inside and I don't think she took care of her at all, atleast her physical appearance. I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow because everything is closed today for Memorial Day. But does anyone know what kind of worms they sound like? So I can know what I'm dealing with beforehand.

Awh, hope she feels better soon. Good that you will be bringing her into the vet.
Bring in a stool sample so they can test for what types of worms they are. As they sometimes use different dewormers for different types of worms.

Sending healing hugs, and hope she heals up quick!

Sorry to hear your first day with your girl start with worries aboit her health. Glad to hear you'll take her to the vet tomorrow. I would take a poop sample (incluiding the worms) to the vet so they can see what kind of worms they are.
Most worms are easily to tread with meds. Hopefully she will turn out healthy for the rest.

@Appleslolo sorry to hear that you are dealing with this during a holiday and have to wait until tomorrow to go to the vet. In general, puppies and kittens are born with these intestinal parasites (worms) because it's something that stays dormant in the liver of the mother (cat or dog), which gets passed on to the kittens/puppies.

That is why breeders treat babies for these worms without even having to test their stool. It's pretty much a given. Either your kitten was not treated or not treated long enough (meaning repeat doses).

I'm sure that bringing in a stool sample tomorrow will detect what it is and your vet will treat her accordingly. In the meantime, everyone handling the kitten and her toys, litter box, food bowls, etc. should wash their hands very well before eating, etc. Keep an eye on your kitten for bloody stools, a lot of runny stools and a lot of vomiting until you take her to the vet. She's young and very little and you don't want her to lose too much electrolytes and fluids. You could always give her unflavored, store brand Pedialyte before you get to the vet if you think she needs it.

Please update us with the results from the vet.

She's about 2 years old, I got her from someone who just had gotten married and her husband told her she had to get rid of her.

@Appleslolo, hmm? Either way, she still needs to get to a vet tomorrow and bring in a stool sample for sure. It's a shame that someone had her and never properly cared for her. Poor girl suffered needlessly. :(

Thank you for caring for her. Everything will be ok, vet will treat her tomorrow.

They will also do a fecal exam. I would ask for blood work to be done.
Talk about, the throwing up. When, it started. She could have a food
allergy.
