So we got her to play a bit last night which is good...she is still wearing a surgical recovery suit as she started messing with her incision(!) I'm worried about her this morning because she is not purring for us. I have her in her fluffy blanket, in a body sling I carry her around in (it's chilly) and I'm very worried. She doesn't appear to be feverish, she ate this morning with her usual gusto, etc. Am I being overly worried? She sees the vet in the morning to look at her incision and see about her vaccine booster (FVRCP or whatever those letters are). Help! Pray!

We were so happy to see her playing last night! I am wondering, too, if she is missing her home. She is almost an adult kitty and was taken from her home with grandma, grampa, mom, dad and a cousin. The only home she had ever known. We will continue spoiling her and I am hoping for the best. Thanks!!!

Just undressed her (out of her dreaded suit) and her incision looks remarkably better. She wouldn't let me put another shirt on her - I think she is PO'd about being dressed - but the house is only about 65 degrees (F)! If I turn up the heater, my bill will go to about $1000 thanks to our criminal utility company (don't get me started). Maybe that's it - plus she is missing her old home. (sigh)

Yeah, we bracing ourselves for a URI...but then I took off her suit as I wanted to change it - her incision is 100% better and she would have no part of me putting anything on her. Naked cat on the loose! she has a case of the zoomies the likes of I haven't seen since my girls were kittens. One of my cats, a 2 year old (almost) One eyed Siamese has been constantly with her, like she is making sure she is staying out of danger. Lila is zooming around like white lightening, wont' let us touch/hold her but I figure she is letting off 7 days worth of steam!

@cr8zycatlady , soo happy the incision looking 100% better! great job mum!
so cute your furbaby watching over Lila.
I have all adult adoptees. some took a little longer to settle in. Batman stayed on his cat tree in his kitty room while his brother zoomed around after a couple of days. from the sounds of it and the adorable cuddly photos you have shared, Lila is adjusting wonderfully to her forever home..
mine arent' crazy about being picked up either. and my prissy priss girl comes up to me head butts my face then when I go to pet her, she decides if she is the mood and zooms off to be petted on the blanket instead.
after myYoda girls spay surgery I " tried" to keep the zoomies under control , she was feeling better and incision looked good and wanted to go go go

mine run nakid here. they love they 50"x60" fleece throw blankets I get at ross, marshalls , etc. crazy utility prices here too.. outrageous. I get it

hugs n head smooche to all paws

Update: She's fine. Been running around all day and then took a rest to do a complete spa on herself. I guarded her incision area but she isn't focusing on it now but I plan to try to wrestle her into her suit tonight. I have a clean one to put her in.

@cr8zycatlady , great update and adorable photos! she is recovering nicely and certainly has claimed you both in her forever home. soo happy all going great. lol.. I didn't have luck with the counter surfing with 4 nakids and a bengal years ago when I adopted them as adults.
they are busy buddy best helpers!

I have to put mine in bedroom when I use the stove so they do not jump up stove top or leap into opening oven door and burn themselves. same thing with toaster ovens. some are notorious for camping out on cable boxes and coffee machines.

I have to double check the washer and dryer before turning them on. caught them in the laundry there a couple of times. I swear cat dog monkey baby all in one for life. my oldest adoptee is now 13 1/2 yrs old and runs around like a kitten busy buddy.
I had to move out my live plants to keep them from chewing and worried about toxic plants. they keep us on our toes!!

* some used canned air ( the ones to clean computer keyboards) ,,, not sprayed on cat but nearby with a stern " Ah" may work.

Lila is gorgeous and blessed with all your love care and spoiling.. head smooches to all! hope you share pics of your other fur baby kitties, tortie, bearded . my brother had a tortie and some members have beardies etc. all are family!

good luck with the recovery suit tonight. she look like an active strong girl :).

Yes I LOVED when she did that - and actually tightened that tail around my wrist! Do they have some prehensile-ability to their tails? That was so cool....

Lila slept in the crook of my arm all night. She's going to the vet this AM....

Keep us postedShe was just p-ssed off being in the recovery suit. I went to check her incision and it looked fantastic! I grabbed a clean suit (the one she was wearing had sphynx 'oil' on it LOL and she would NOT have it! She took off. She flew around the house like a lightening bolt and had so much fun!!!! Later on, she settled down to purr on the couch with me and wrapped her tail around my wrist! Flex prehensile tail! She is much happier this morning, but I did put a sweater on her when it started getting chilly later in the day. She sure had a great time! I need to teach her about areas that are off limits (kitchen counter, kitchen table) but other than that, she was running around under the very watchful, protective eye of my Siamese kitty, Sapphire.

She’s not happy with us at the moment as we are at the vet...has a yeast infection in her ears! She got her booster vax, nail trim and deep ear cleaning. I have meds to give her now, and I had to put her suit back on as her incision isn't fully healed as it should be yet. Watching her for a week to see if she needs more antibiotics. Sigh. The pet insurance hasn't kicked in yet; another week. So that won't help with any of this! she's going to be unhappy in her suit, but I need to keep her from messing with the incision site!

@cr8zycatlady , ((hugs)) Team Lila. I replied on your ear thread.
can ask vet about Trizultra w/keto. my vet got me hooked on it for ears almost 2 decades ago , game changer. I get the 12 oz bottle on line. never an ear issue again. @ sheldon13 uses it too.

oh my heart, hope insurance kicks in soon, i know the feeling just paid off Boo's care credit bill on the 11th.
