Hey! As I miss seeing pictures of different skin issues, or I am very bad at searching when I'm curious about something. I just want to share this picture with you of Mika. We brought her to the vet today as she had developed a miscouloring or rash on her chin. The vet took a skinsample and concluded it was a yeast infection, aswell some other bacteria at the skinpatch. We've got shampoo and conditioner to clean her face with every other day the first week, aswell as something called cortavance. Hopefully it will clear up soon! The vet wasn't sure if this was a cause of foodallergy or the fact I had scrubbed her face a little too hard. (I used a new sponge yesterday, never using it again!!). So we will go back if it doesn't get better after a week.

It looks as though, it has been rubbed raw. Could be where you scrubbed
to much with the sponge, or She has rubbed it against something
enough to make it raw.
Most of us here use exfoliation gloves. They are wonderful.
You just need to not scrub hard. I would wash her face with a wash cloth.
I wouldn't use anything else. Hope she gets well quickly.

I know, but the vet said that it didnt look like it was the rubbing. But she wasnt sure of course. Ive used a wash cloth up to now, thought i would try the sponge as it was softer..or as I thought.. :|

Hope Mika is feeling better soon! Keep us posted. You should be able to add 20 tags to a thread. Also, here is a help thread on how to search - http://sphynxlair.com/community/threads/how-do-i-search-for-information-on-sphynxlair.26888/ and people who tag their threads will create categories for the tagged word, then once clicking on a tag in the cloud tag at the bottom of the forum will bring you to similar threads tagged with that word.

Hope all is well now. Sincere gets little rash bumps if I rub him too rough. This will make me be even more careful, especially exfoliating his black heads on his chin.
