Yeast Infection in ears

So I just got home from the vet with Lila. Her incision was checked, she needs more time in a surgery suit, and her ears were nasty - a yeast infection(!) They did a deep cleaning of her ears and sent me home with drops that have to be kept refrigerated and put in her ears twice a day. Fun. Cold wet drops.

Is this something Sphynx can get easily? I'm prepared to maintain clean ears with her weekly or if I see gunk in them. Help!

what drops did they prescribe? clavamox drops?

how did they confirm yeast infection? under a slide?
It is not unusual for sphynx to get dirty grimey sphynx ears. (is vet familiar with sphynx?)

*some are not familiar that sphynx get gunky ears because they have no ear hair. they can get pretty narly looking quickly and its wax build up.
I literally just cleaned Toby's ears a few minutes ago, I have to wipe his out 2-3x a week.

I get the 12 oz bottle (online no rx needed ) because I use for ears on my crew, kitties and pups . I also use it to do weekly wipe downs on my 3 sphynx. I can go a long time between full baths.. a looong time. wish I had a pic of the cotton pad I just tossed doing ears and wipe downs. really get brown off under bellies, chins, etc. I just dont use on face**.

I wore a little head lamp in the beginning so I could see the nooks and ear crannies better. I put a few qtips on the small cotton rounds and wet with trizultra

my vet got me hooked on the trizultra w/keto almost 20 yrs ago for ears. never an ear issue again with my crew. @Sheldon13 uses too.

Thanks so much! I will make sure she gets all of the grooming attention she needs. She was a perfect little lady while they tended to her incision, cleaned her ears, gave her a vax booster and trimmed her nails. My therapy cat, Mason, on the other hand, turned into Mr. Hyde! Sheesh......(he's a tuxedo, a wonderful guy except when mama isn't there).

ooh, my Toby much like Mason... Lol I nick named my boy" TobyLove" bcz i would tell him Toby have love!!! he used to be Toby terror lol
