Hello everyone,

My name is Stephanie and this is my beautiful boy, Zedd. He’s a dwelf who’s ears straightened out. I, too, am a lurker who have come to this forum for advice and thought it was time to say hi. Zedd just had his second birthday in June. He’s been having allergy issues but they are getting under control. If anyone has suggestions for a gentle ear cleaner that won’t irritate him, I’m all ears.

I’m sure like your nakeds, Zedd has brought so much happiness to my life. Truly an amazing bond with this silly guy.

Welcome to sphynxlair! What a handsome boy Zedd is. Love his ears.
I clean the ears of my elf with q tips. And sometimes I use an ointment. But I'm from the Netherlands so hopefull somebody from your area can give you tips on brands.

Welcome to SL. Your boy is adorable. Here is what I use. I don’t know if there is really a way to see if it is gentle unfortunately until you try a product and see how they react. I used one in the past they would shake their heads immediately. With this one they let me message the ears, I can place them in the bathtub and then they shake their heads.

@Cheffanie , Welcome Stephanie and Jedd. hugs n head smooches adorable Jedd. you can check with your vet if Trizultra w/keto would be okay. My vet got me hooked on it over 15 yrs ago with mine to clean ears on pups and kitties. non rx, my vet sells or I get online,
using it on my sphynx for 12 yrs never an ear issue. I personally do not use it as a flush, I wet flat cosmetic cotton rounds /qtips and gentle wipe ears. I like it really has no scent . in the beginning I put kitty on lap bathroom stool and used a little mini headlamp so I could see better and gently clean. my crew does not mind as some of the other products I tried in the past were too scented. there is a video in the sphynx info center about cleaning ears.

Welcome Stephanie, Zedd is gorgeous. I use trizultra too but not as a flush. I also just put it on Q tips and cotton pads and just gently wipe around all the little nooks and crannies in the ears
