I had posted about a bump on Zino's upper lip on Nov 15th, where I thought it might be a clogged hair folicle or something... That is still there, it got smaller, doesn't bother him at all, isn't oozing or he doesn't scratch it and doesn't affect him at all.....

The two pictures above are on his CHIN on the other side and it seems to be the same thing... Soft area/bump, not hard, doesn't affect ANYTHING eating or drinking or playing wise, no infection (Its not a pimple), not hot and he doesn't scratch or bite at it.....

I am leaning towards taking him to the vet though, he's 10 and our best bud..... And we don't want him to have a problem, but this is weird showing up now... He's NEVER had anything and now its just about a month that these bumps have shown up...

He doesn't rub, bite or scratch at it.... there is NOTHING I can see or feel inside his mouth like its in the jaw or bothering him and he eats dry and wet food just fine.....

I just wonder what this is... and over Christmas its not easy to get vet appointments.....

We are just worried Sphynx moms who wan the best for Zino...

@kellyannallen , awh. love senior kitties. Zino is precious. mine are all seniors now and do have some benign sebaceous cysts that never bother them.
what type of food bowls used? some can be sensitive to plastic bowls. years ago I switched to stainless bowls (those little raised double stainless bowls for food /water).
you can ask vet if wiping chin with witch hazel would be indicated. several members use witch hazel to wipe chins.

members will surely chime in. hugs n head smooches adorable Zino!

Hi!

I have stainless steel bowls... No plastic... Stainless for the water bowl too... Both Zino and before that Lio would NOT eat or drink from plastic... And I have enough bowls that they go through the dishwasher with high hot water so that they are clean....

The bowls are actually dog bowls.... I was wondering if the ones that are tilted and raised are better for cats.....

The witch hazel I would have to see if our vet would say yes and where I can get it here in Germany....

But thanks for the answer....

These really do not seem to bother him at all! we just are keeping an eye on things because we want him to be happy and healthy!

Hard to tell by the pic but could easily be a simple clogged pore/abcess. Putting a warm compress on it might help it come to a head. If it pops and can look very scary and leave a huge hole and yes will bleed. They usually heal very quickly.
