Morning fam {= . We've been to vet earlier on with the bump issue, got me worried since it won't stop growing nor go away. Vet assured us that everything's alright as long as cat doesn't feel pain. Supposedly, it's a hair bump or a bruise. I imagine ingrown hair can be hella dangerous and contain pus inside, although I see lotsa cats have this kinda warts and their owners don't bother removing them. Still bugging me. Our doc wants to remove them when we get Osi neutered, better safe than sorry. But if this happened once it can in fact happen again in the future. Please, share thoughts and experience and how keeping/removing bumps turned out.

We had a boy that had a small bump(sebaceous cyst caused by a blocked pore) when he got older. Our vet said it was harmless as well. I think the risk of sedating and possible infection from removing was not worth it…but removing when being neutered and already sedated is a great option. @Yana and Osiris
Was that a frequent occurrence? Removing them while the cat is neutered is ok, mainly worried if he gets more later on...

Our boy only got one and it was on his back…gosh he was probably 9 when he got it. They say you should not try to squeeze/pop a sebaceous cyst because it can lead to infections and more trouble, but you can try putting a warm compress on it a few times a day to see if it helps draw any puss. If you try doing that, keep us updated if it works.

Oh defo not doing this, don't really trust "how to remove appendix home" sort of solutions. But I will ask our vet about it next time, thank you :) It might help someone if they sure know the origins of this appearance. Our doc wasn't sure, but guessed, so i'd rather not take the risk.

I think you thought I said to squeeze…I said not to, but a warm compress would not hurt.
