My 2-year-old sphynx is currently pregnant. My male sphynx who is 1 is the father. I am nervous about the pregnancy and birth as I have never been through this process before. I love her very much and want to be as prepared as possible. I have already notified our 24-hour emergency vet that we believe her to be pregnant. I have also been trying to watch videos to educate and prepare myself. Any advice or tips are appreciated. Thank you

@HayleeA , welcome. most of us do not have breeding experience. echoing to reach out to the breeder you got them from for mentoring, advice. are yours HCM scanned? sharing a link:
What to expect from a responsible sphynx breeder

.glad you are researching and definitely reach out to your regular vet. also, from what I do know about breeding, it can be expensive, vet visits, follow ups, kitten care follow ups, unforeseen complications like c-sections sometimes etc. save as much as you can on your new journey. sending hugs n positive vibes to mum n babies.

I do appreciate your kind comments. Unfortunately my breeder ghosted us a year ago. No idea why. I have reached out to our vet at least. They were both hcm tested and negative. So far our vet said because she is healthy and at a good age we should be fine. I have anxiety and want to be extra safe with my favorite cat. The cost doesn't matter as long as my baby is safe. I wasn't planning on her being pregnant but they were not fixed quickly so I knew It could happen. Thankfully our 24 hour vet can do c sections and is aware of her pregnancy. Postivie vibes to you all

Wishing you good luck and safe delivery of your kittens. This group is more about the breed than breeding. I would definitely recommend asking your breeder to be your mentor and help you along the way for extra support. @HayleeA
Thank you for your advice. I have reached out to our vet. Our breeder ghosted us a year ago for reasons unknown. I have another breeder near by I have contacted.
