I felt the same way when I lost my old Siamese when he was 16. I got him when he was 6. I often wish I'd had those formative years with him but then remind myself that those early years made him the character he was and I wouldn't have changed a single part of him. It's not much, but it helps a little x

That’s true. She was who she was because of ALL of her life experiences. And I still wouldn’t hesitate to adopt an older cat as well. I just wanted to try the kitten route this next time.
