Freeze Dries Raw

Happy Friday All. I have a question for all the raw feeders out there. I am looking to go camping but don't think Rem will do well if I take him along. Since we will only be gone for a day and a half, I'm thinking about doing freeze dried food in a timed bowl.

My question is how much freeze dried do I feed per meal and are there any bowls you would recommend? Also are there any freeze dried foods that are 100% meat?

Ren has become quite the piglet lately and is eating a bit less than a pound of raw a day.

You usually have to rehydrate the freeze dried with water though would that be a problem?

Dippy won't eat it dry and it's consistency makes him cough and stick his tongue out

I know we have a member that feeds freeze dried primal dry maybe that is better for it.

We feed him one bowl 3x a day of Stella & chewy's

Yes, from what I have seen the freeze dried raw all needs to have water added.

We just get someone to stop by and feed them when we are gone. Unfortunately that is the only draw back of feeding raw. Kitties can't be left to feed themselves

We give Oliver some freeze dried treats by Orijen. They do not need to be hydrated. They are 100% pure meat in little treat sized nuggets, kind of looks like kibble. Perhaps they would do in a pinch but I hope you can get a neighbour or a friend to drop by at least once. Other freeze dried foods would be too powdery without water IMHO, and I would be way too nervous to leave raw food out for over a day. There are some on here who have chilled, timed bowls but I have not used them.
