Sphynx are known for their large ears often described as "bat-like." Their ears are broad at the base, open, and set high on their head. They typically measure around 3-4 inches long or (7cm high). The lack of fur emphasizes their size, but their ears really are larger than many breeds. Their wide/open structure makes them prone to dirt/oil/wax which requires regular cleaning.

How often do you clean you clean your baby’s ears? Share in the comments.

I love those bat-like ears! And Mizuki looks so little compared to Martooni, although het ears seem to be just as big.

I notice that kittens ears don't get so dirty as the groen up ears. Do you know if this is a regular thing or just a coincidence with my Sphynx?

For all my crew it depends. Toa's ears get really dirty and I have to clean them once a week. Sometimes more often. Felfely and Saheri's ears need to be cleaned once in two weeks since the became 1 year old. Chebdi's ears I had to clean once since he lives with us (2 months now)

Such clean ears in your crew, Patti @Catzzzmeow !
I have gotten pretty lax about cat hygiene as the dynamic duo and we have all gotten older. I try to clean ears and nails about twice a month, and bathe at least once a month. Cleo has pretty severe arthritis, so I hate to keep stressing her, especially with baths. Marcus is just obnoxious, which stresses me!
