hi everyone, new to sphynxlair and very happy to be here. I got my very first sphynx over 7 years ago and have loved the breed since. Here is my brief story. When my now husband and I were just starting out as a couple, I asked him if we could get a kitten. It had been years since my childhood cat had passed and I was finally ready to love a cat again. Weeks had passed and he wouldn't talk about it, I figured it was a lost cause and I was on m own to find a new baby. To my shock and suprise, one weekend afternoon while watching a movie, a small pink thing with no hair and huge ears jumped into my lap!!! After screaming and scaring the poor little thing almost to death, I fell in love instantly as it was the most adorable little baby sphynx in the entire world. At a closer look I saw a pink ribbon around his neck, I untied the ribbon and a beautiful engagement ring rolled down. My husband, who was watching around the corner all the while, proposed. So with my baby boy sphynx, who we named "Bobby" started our new life together and my passion for hairless cats.
