How does your Sphynx communicate with you?

My babies also follow me when they know it is snack time or tv/bed/cuddle time.

When it's time to be fed, Bella runs crazily around the house non-stop. I always know this means she's hungry. If she's not comfortable sitting on my lap she will paw my legs until it's the way she wants it. Does the same to tell me she wants to get under the covers.

Harry's primary means of communication with me is by meowing and he has lots of different sounds that mean different things. My favorite "meow" sounds like the roadrunner when he goes "meep meep." My description comes nowhere close to how adorable he sounds when he does it. Normally, he does the "meep meep" when he is excited about something. He also meows is a very negative tone when he is unhappy about something (usually during his bath or when I am cleaning his ears).
The other thing he does to let me know he wants something is he paws at me. He does this every night when he is ready to get under the covers or when he is ready for his soft food. In the evening, when I get home from work and walk into the kitchen, he jumps onto the counter (which I despise) and paws at me (without using his claws) while he meows in a demanding tone until I give him his soft food. This is clearly the highlight of his day and he walks around "chirping" once he is done eating.
I am sure, like all Sphynx owners, Harry has trained me well to communicate his wants and also when he does not get his way.
I have owned two other cats, both with hair, and they don't come anywhere close to Harry's intelligence, personality, or communication methods. I will never own another non-Sphynx now that I have had the experience of owning and being completely IN LOVE with my sweet Harry!!

Any way possible!ucifer is more vocal than Samael but they both have their happy and unhappy sounds. Lucifer loves to rub on daddy's stubbly face and Samael rubs my legs, face and licks me raw! Lucifer also loves to nap under sweatshirts and starts pawing your belly when he wants in. But the sweetest thing he does is when he wants to cuddle - he'll be standing on the dinner table and throw you a loving/longing look before he put his fronts paws up. It's his cue for "pick me up now!"
He'll also start throwing stuff off the table when he feels it's feeding time!

They paw at me....and when they are upset with me they will purposefully knock something over or climb the curtain or something naughty to make sure I notice that they are displeased. LOL When they are in distress they cry something that sounds like "Mom!....Mom!...Mom! and when they are happy they do the nonstop purring thing. And the push/pull knewading on my lap. Lulu likes to kiss and so does Pearlie--but Pearlie is very vocal. She carries on entire conversations with me when I get home to tell me how her day went. She is also very vocal when she wants food. Junie B. climbs up my leg and cries to tell me she is hungry.

Please tell us how your Sphynx communicates with you.

My boys communicate in different ways, but when they communicate vocally, it's not really a regular meow. Most of the time when they see me and want to "tell" me something, it sounds like beeps or even like a squeek toy sound. Not very loud at all.

If they don't see me, I'll hear more of a meow and it is louder ... so I just call out to them when I hear that and say, "Liam, Mommy is in here!" "Grayson, come to Mommy, here I am!" "Simon, Mommy is by the computer, come here!" Each of them have different pitches or sounds and I'm almost always positive who is calling me!

Liam has the most distinctive sound...he calls out to me when he doesn't see me and it sounds exactly like he's saying, "Ma. Ma." Not Mama! LOL He separates the sound into two separate words.

Once they find me, usually I'm sitting or laying down, they come and cuddle, lay on me, Grayson and Simon suck on my hands and arms mostly, sometimes my face/lips/chin.

Then they purrrrrr! Close their eyes and chill out in the security of Mommy loving them up!

Oh...and how can I forget: Their famous "pawing" at me. When they absolutely want my attention and also when they want to be invited to go under the blanket with me, they paw at me. Simon gets very confused when I'm laying on top of my blanket and I have a sweatshirt jacket on because when I'm on my bed, it's usually to go to sleep and I have on short sleeves and I'm under the blanket. So Simon gets confused when he paws at me then because he doesn't understand where my bare arms are for him to suck on! LOL And he doesn't understand how to get "undercover" when I don't have the blanket on me. So I'll just open my jacket and let him in.

Hairy and Hansel meow in different tones so many different ways. Also Pawing, rubbing, and jumping on me . It all depends in what they want. lol

Well Giz is very vocal so he has lots of different meows that mean different things lol...but my favorite is after I have been out and Im getting home he will hop up in the dining room table and I lean down till my lips are just touching his nose and he will put his teeth just so gently around my nose so that he is holding it Its his ' mommy I missed you so much dont ever leave me again ' touch lol. I love it...he can be pretty dramatic

Tau is very vocal very loud he lives the sound of his own voice and he too will very. Loudly let you know it's time to come scoop the poop lol

I love the squeaky meow and butt swoosh. Velvet (5 months) does the same thing!

Spike communicates using the normal chirps and trills. He also "yells" at us when we greet him after a prolonged absence (if we've gone out to a movie or something). The kits have their own room and if we are not home, they go to their room since they are troublemakers (read chord biters) and need to be supervised. so, after being out for a short period, we immediately let them out of their room, and that's when Spike "yells" or "yowls" at us.

My favorite communication is his "guilty" behavior. When he does something naughty he immediately finds us and rubs on us to say sorry. So we then go and investigate with him, he leads the way, and he shows us what he did. A couple months ago, he came downstairs to my husband office and was acting super guilty and apologetic. Scott follow him upstais and Spike led him to the bedroom where he had knocked the snakes heat lamp down onto the carpet. Smart boy!

Velvet is 5 months and squeaks. But she mainly communicates with her flying saucer eyes and bores a hole through you and sees into your soul with her intense stare.

aleister meows very loudly first thing in the morning. I have to get up and feed him, pet him before I leave for work. if I sleep in and don't have the time then my gf pays the price. he well jump on the bed and paw at her face until she gets up to give him the love he wants and some food lol when I come home after a days work he is in the playing mood, so he well jump to the back of the couch and nudge my head or lick my earlobe. when I get down and play with him he well purr constantly. when he has had enough he well lay down on his bed and chill out. bed time he wants under the covers he well bite my necklace and pull on it this took me a while to realize what he wanted lol bath time he well run to the tub and jump onto the side of it and stick his paw in it and look at me as if to say ok its warm enough I well get in lol he is one of a kind so glad he picked me

Gizzy chirps and rubs against you, but Toothy does full on body rubs and headbutts. He LOVES to rub his face all over hubby's beard.

Worm meeps at me (it sounds like a meep over a meow). we can have some serious conversations sometimes. i ask her a question and she always responds and i know exactly what she says!

Dexter will paw at us and chirp in the morning to wake us up so we can feed him. He'll also lead us to his food dish and has certain checkpoints where he stops and looks back to make sure we're following him. And of course he purrs when he's happy and content

I cannot even describe Apollo's vocal ability he is unique he kinda gurgles and chirps, humming sounds I have to get a audio on him. Anastazia is a blatter she purrs really loud and has a loud meow. Amirah only has a light delicate meow when she wants to go out for a walk.

Savannah loves to grab at my face with her paws. Sometimes its a hit (soft) to the nose and others she will take both paws (hands) and grab my face on either side. Ava just yells at you until you are somewhere she can cuddle with you. We are still learning about Nikka. She is such a lover.

Well they are all so different and I can tell each one of there meows apart....

Hairry will either meow really loud as if he is dying but all he wants is your attention. He will even talk to you when he wants more attention.

Curly Sue isn't really vocal however she dose enough talking with her facial expressions... she has a great "go to hell" look and a mean "hee hee" look if she is getting more attention than the others. She also has this growl that when she was a kitten and I just brought her home I thought she was hurt. She dose this when she is made at Hairry or Violet or if she is warm under the covers and you move them or her. She is my Queen B

Violet... sweet baby Violet! She dose this chirp... My husband like to sneak up on her and poke her and she will chirp :joyful::joyful:. She really dose not do much talking other then the startled chirp. She is a big time love monster and will purr for hours when we are sleeping.

PS off the subject but when I was looking at the emotion this one is "asshat"----->:asshat: <------ ASSHAT is great!

Emma will start very sweet with a head butt or nuzzle, if ignored she moves to the genital face tapping and if this is unsuccessful she runs across my head at 25 miles per hour until I acknowledge her.

This is one of the many reasons I love her with all my heart...:banghead:

Baby Macy loves to meow at me. Sometimes I copy her meows, haha. She's warmed up so well to her new home and we absolutely love each other! :happy:

She'll rub up against me and headbutt me all the time. She loves pets and she always purrs. Gosh, I love her so much, hehe!
