I am a newer Sphynx owner, my cat is 7 months old and I have only been feeding her dry food. It is a great quality food, Acana Pacifica flavour. I however have heard some horror stories, of course this is of older cats but if they have an only dry food diet this can negatively affect their health. I was going to add canned food in the morning to supplement her dry food but after some research I think I would like to try raw food, I don't think I want to switch to raw 100% as I think it's important for her to have dry food out throughout the day to graze on. Just wondering if anyone has any helpful tips for me.. Like what types of meats? And amount? And I feed it to her totally raw?!

Welcome to sphynxlair, good to have you.
As my understanding, you can't let them, graze on dry food
and feed raw. Because of the digestion rate. It has to be so many
hours in between. Drinking plenty of water, is the main thing.

I feed my boys and girl partlt knibbles and partly raw. With my crew this works fine without any tummy problems. But you have to be carefull cause you can't feed raw and knibbles at the same time.

I feed my boys (trying go get my girl into it but she refuges) raw food twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening. I make sure there is always 3 hours between them eating raw and eating knibbels. I give them raw food at 6.00 in the morning and at 18.00 in the evening. After the evening meal they don't get knibbles any more (they get a lot of raw in the evening).
In the morning I put out the knibbels when I leave to the office and I found out how much I can put in the bowl to make sure they finished all the knibbles around 15.00 in the noon (found that out by trying on days I was at home).

Hope this will work for you too.

I have just started my boys on raw this as of two days ago; they seem to be taking to it well...at the moment they are eating 4 oz each twice per day with a can of wet mixed in. They wet will be reduced next week or the next by a 1/2...I am very pleased to see them acting differently, with more energy...they are both under a year old.
