Lemmy lost to fip

Yesterday on the 27th July I sadly had to say goodbye to my little baby lemmy due to fip. I have spent just over past month battling the disease with trial medication and unfortunately it started to effect her brain. The vet allowed me to cuddle her until she fell asleep and she went peacefully.

I can't help feeling angry about this disease as when we got her she was passing blood in her stool which the breader should of seen! As this was my first sphynx kitten I didn't know about the corona virus and it took me a long time to diagnose.

I spent years begging my partner to allow me a sphynx and she was everything I imagined and more! I will miss her so much and will forever be in my thoughts and dreams. Xx

@Lemmy : so very sorry for the passing of Lemmy. Lemmy felt your love untill the last moment, and all she felt in her too short life was how much you love her and how welcome she was.
I am sorry you had to go through this. FIP is such an awful deseases and it strikes too many cats.

Maybe one day you will have a new sphynx. Not that a new sphynx will let you forget about Lemmy but considering how long you wished for a sphynx I do hope you'll have a sphynx in your live again in the future.

I know how difficult it can be to remove all the thing thats belonged to Lemmy. Just do what you feel is right.
A year ago I lost my dog way to early. I left his bowl, blankets, basket and his toys at their normal place in the house. After a few days that was beginning to feel uncomfortable so I put all the things in a box and put that in a seperate room. After a while I did give some things away and some things I did throwe away. After a few months one toy (his monkey he always carried around) was all their was left in my house. It was a natural proces and it felt good the way it went.
Just do what you think is for the best. Thinking of you!

So sorry to hear of your loss. I know how heartbreaking it is. The good thing is, he's no longer suffering. Your in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my sweet Yoda recently and her stuff is still here, but Pinky was so depressed, my vet told me to leave things the way they are. I totally understand your feelings. I break out in tears when I see Pinky eating from her bowl. By putting up her things, your not forgetting her. She will always be in your heart and thoughts. Once a sphynx touches your life, their paw prints stay with you forever.

I felt the same way .. it's all so fresh and heart aching .. Too many of us know (((hugs for peace and comfort)) during this inconsolable time.

What I did with my ^ Yoda Cat^s things was put them in a "memorial box" - a decorative box from Marshall's along with her ashes and a couple of my favorite poems..

I closed my eyes and thought of her and all we shared if even for a short while .. We had it all.. No sickness will ever take that love away engraved on my heart.
I whispered in my thoughts that it was up to her if she sends me one to love in her honor ..

My dad sent me a little harmony kingdom sphynx box I keep on the window sill above where we had breakfast together - it made moving the bowl a little comforting on my heart..

Take time .. And hold ^Lemmy^s love close to your heart
In the hardest moments I think of the quote on my signature "only a change of worlds"

Well said, @Yoda mom. I will mourn with you, @Lemmy, for your sweet little girl. The hole they leave behind in our lives feels like it will never heal. I wish I could hold you close and make the hurt stop, but I know it's impossible. I believe you will see Lemmy again someday, and what a glorious day that will be! But until then, take comfort in the fact that you gave her the only gift left to you..to ease gently from this world to the next, cradled in the arms of her mama lady. No more suffering or pain for Lemmy. You loved her dearly....and that is everything.

I didn't have a contract with the breeder @Hairless Blessing I just bought her that was that really. I wasn't aware there was a thing with pets.

I'm so sorry about your little baby. It is a horrific thing and I can understand the battles you went through. I often dream of my little baby playing with other kittens and is super happy she is no longer suffering.
