I was shocked and saddened when I heard about the loss of Peanut. 
I have never had a kitten younger than 5 months, but I can imagine the pain you must feel when you loose one so young. Just focus on the good times and the love you shared. These are the same things I have to tell myself when I think of my Fuzz. She passed in January of 2011. She was my first kitty and the hole she left in my heart remains. Every kitten touches you differently.
Again, I am so sorry you lost him. Especially after hand feeding and trying so hard to give him the best start you possibly could have.
He will be missed and you are loved!
