Yes and no. Any good vet will listen to your concerns, take their time and be patient. They will not run unnecessary tests or pressure or guilt you into expensive treatments.
A vet of a sphynx cat should be aware of some of the things unique to the breed (tummy issues, skin conditions, possibility of HCM, etc).
Any vet that is a GOOD overall doctor will do the research on these things, or listen to you when you share information about the breed and your cat.
From experience... look for a good overall vet that you trust first. There are often some clinics that are "cat only" in larger cities. That may be a place to look into as well.
Ok, I don't know if I trust the vet I have now. I can't tell if they are looking out for me or looking for my money. I think that is a sign to look elsewhere. Thanks for the response.
