Merry Christmas!
I singlehandedly cooked Christmas dinner for the first time in my life. (It was always some man in charge before lol)
Turkey was lovely (still is!) and juicy, sprouts just right, broccoli too, and the roast poatoes rocked. :)
I've just dismantled the turkey and there is a LOT left over, so it's turkey for a few days. Not that I mind.
Alas, Squeaky the barn cat thought she died and went to heaven when I came out with the carcass (big bones only) and other bits on a big plate.
She didn't know where to start! (She lives on all kinds of creatures, but appreciates not having to catch them...)
So tonight I sat on the sofa, munching some turkey... and Jezzy was of course immediately interested. Livvy had some too. Now, Pixie doesn't normally touch any human/cooked food (or raw), but sniffed... so I offered her a little bit of turkey -- and after much deliberation, she ate it. And another bit. And another bit. :)
Must be good then!

We had an English Christmas as has been our tradition for 6 or 7 years now. I made the roast leg of lamb, and for sides there was mashed potatoes, brussel sprout hash, and corn casserole. My sister made French Silk pie this year because half the people in the family didn’t like the very English bread pudding I made last year (no raisin fans). But I still love it so I bought the stuff to make it for myself anyways.

Jasmine and I just got home from our lovely family holiday visit to my parent’s house. Her first time venturing outside her comfort zone. She did very well, actually. Really eased into it quite nicely.

Here she is chillin with my dad last night.

And now back home to enjoy a fire.

@Sheldon13 totally amazing how comfortable your girl is. Look at those paws on your dad‘s belly. Look at her smitten face by the Fireside. She is absolutely meant to be in your life.♥️♥️♥️♥️ :D :D :D I am so happy for you. I’m also very interested in the Brussels sprouts recipe and silk pie I have never heard of these before.

Lovely thanks for sharing what a beautiful Christmas you had.
