Wednesday night I stayed downstairs with Kitten as she was very clingy, I was so sure it would be that night lol. Terrified of waking up to a smooshed baby in the couch or something as I was very tired. Once morning came, she was starving again and showed no other signs, so I left for the fair and had my mother keep an eye on everyone. Around 5pm my husband called and said she had a kitten in the kids’ bunk! My youngest had rushed down saying that Kitten was eating “brains” I didn’t make it home in time for Baby #2, then she didn’t have any for quite some time. I figured that was it. HOW WRONG I WAS! Where was she hiding so many??? She fairly quickly popped out three.more.kittens… My 9 year old had napped that afternoon and stayed up to watch with me for most of it. I slept on the floor next to the bottom of the triple bunk, constantly waking at every sound in case someone scooted out of the nest. At some point that night or maybe in the morning (everything is blurring in exhaustion), I put them in the Lego box to try and corral them. We only live about 2 blocks away from the fairgrounds and I rushed home several times during the day after seeing her try to move them around the room on my camera. My mother tried to make them a safe space in our extra large dog crate, but I had a bit of a panic attack when it wasn’t warm enough, the kittens didn’t look fed, etc etc. So we put a heat lamp from my chicks in the bathroom and filled the tub with blankets, while I bottle fed the smaller kittens. I had planned to stay in there with them, but the stress of fair week and my missed biologic injection last month sent me into an awful flare. Luckily I wasn’t direly ill and was able to check on them during the night, but wasn’t able to finish attending the fair. One of my best hens was killed last night as I wasn’t able to do a full patrol due to the flare We swapped the heat lamp out for a safe mini heater and everyone is still alive tonight The pinkies are getting little brown noses! I think there’s two girls, one of which is a pinkie.

Congratulations! How exciting. So happy mommy and the babies are doing well. Just wanted to let you know why the others pics were deleted. only one pic of their own litter or a kitten from the litter is allowed in this group according to the rules. We strive to treat everyone the same. This rule helps us that breeders do not try to advertise etc. So please refrain from any other pics being posted of them in the future. But gosh you are going to have so much fun watching these babies grow.
