Of course my boy's favorite protein is rabbit. I have been ordering from Hare-Today but at 12.00 per pound, and him eating between 12 and 16 ounces per day..it's breaking the bank!! I mixed it with some ground chicken breast to stretch it out a bit, but now he's on turkey and chicken and isn't as excited about eating it. With a little prodding, he does eat it but he gobbles up that rabbit like nobody's business!! I did find a few sources, but not as comfortable w/ ordering esp. from the one who advertises that they buy rabbits..any quantity, size, age, etc.. which tells me there is no quality control in terms of disease, hormones, etc.. I did find another source that offers ground rabbit patties--so am thinking of giving this a try as the pricing is much cheaper. Any other sources that anyone knows of for boneless rabbit?

Thank you!

Have you tried local rabbit farms? I had no idea hare today was that pricey. A local or nearby rabbit farmer will usually dress the rabbit as you wish. Unfortunately you would need to grind your own as I don't think the farmers fully prep their rabbits although they cold tell you who they sell to who would... but then the price goes up from there.

Of course rabbit is their favorite! I know it can get pricey for you with Hare Today because of shipping. You might be able to find a local butcher that carries it and do boneless with a mix in with calcium. I keep both kinds of Alnutrin on hand and have extra liver just in case. Otherwise like Xandria suggested find a local rabbit farmer and take some frustration out on grinding your own lol.
