Sphynx Knowledgeable Vet in Vancouver, BC

Hello.

Just looking for a Sphynx knowledgeable vet in Vancouver. We have lots of cats only clinics, but I'm hoping to find one that is experienced with nakeds.

I also have been looking for a vet in Vancouver BC. So far I have been taking Frida to Granville island veterinary and I have no complaints with the care I have received but also would love someone more experienced with nakeds. Not sure how many Lairians are from Vancouver

Quick addendum:

I researched a number of vets in Vancouver, some were the feline only clinics, and one came out on top. 1st Avenue Animal Hospital.

It's a small clinic, in an Asian mall on 1st and Renfrew (East end near Burnaby-Vancouver border). The resident vet, Dr. Kiran Gosal, is pawsitively delightful and knowledgeable regarding Sphynx. So much so that she has her staff trained on Sphynx facts.

For me, personally, I'm very lucky that I'm only a 5 minute drive from her.

That is the basic cat vaccine. Rhinotrachetis, panleucopenia & calcivirus. Typically given in a series as babies then yearly thereafter, although some say every other year or even every three years is sufficient for immunity.

I've been trying to find a vet with more knowledge about their specific needs.

@MelissaAlice -- it's difficult. I was surprised that even the larger and more well known clinics, some of them cat only, didn't have enough experience or knowledge to satisfy me. So you really can never tell which clinic or vet will have naked knowledge. Word of mouth is the best.

Sadly Dr. Kiran sold her clinic as she had a difficult time juggling family and work. However, the new doctor is excellent.

I put the poor man through an interrogation, and he passed my scrutiny. He does know Sphynx. He's also very thorough, kind, gentle, and takes his time. He's interested in learning about his patients and the humans who bring them. While he did forget that Clavamox wasn't that great for Sphynx, I do forgive this lapse of knowledge. The rest of his Sphynx intel was spot on. And Max seemed to approve as he jumped up on the doctor's shoulders a few times.
