@Johanna I only know of Redbank animal hospital where I've been a few times and seen a few specialists there. Then a few more further away which I think it totally in the opposite direction from you.
I always tell new members looking for a vet for their sphynx: Most vets don't see any or many hairless cats. We have to educate ourselves as much as we can and tell our vets specific things about the breed and about anesthesia and antibiotics and so on. If the vet listens and is interested, is on the same page as you, then that's the kind of vet you need. If they have an attitude that they know best, even though they've never seen a sphynx before, then pick up your cat and run, don't walk out of that office!

That location is close enough to me that if they are great with this breed, I will willingly take that drive.

@Johanna I've only seen two specialists there and in my opinion, they have not seen a great number of sphynx cats there. But that aside, they are very expensive and I would not recommend going there for just routine visits. I would only recommend them if you ever needed to see a specialist.
I educated the two vets I saw on the sphynx breed. I never assume a vet knows things about the breed and I always need to make sure my sphynx cats are in the best of hands especially if I have to leave them at the hospital for any period of time. This breed is always a big hit at any vet's office. All the workers flock to the sphynx breed like magnets.
Once I went all the way to Branchburg, NJ to see a vet there to help one of my furry cats years ago. It was very far, but I was desperate to help her. The vet I saw was very nice, very thorough, but didn't land up helping my cat and her problem.
I see, I will do some research. Might try out one in Princeton that was recommended. They all seem to be atleast 45mins -1hr away, I have to get use to driving. That's okay, I'm not a huge fan of vets, need to find a good one and stick with it.

@Johanna there has to be a good vet closer to where you live. Just because a vet may have a sphynx patient or a few of them, doesn't mean the vet already knows a lot or anything about the breed.
