We are expecting

Hubby and I are getting a kitten for Christmas. I spoke to the breeder a few months ago and said we were not ready yet, but wanted to inquire if any will be available for Christmas. We will have pick of the litter (knowing breeder gets first choice of course)of 3 different litters…we will have a hard time choosing with what could be lots of kittens. The first litter is due any day now and the other 2 are due within 2 weeks after…cutting it so close to Christmas but probably the week before the holiday. We are very excited. Every loss seems harder as I get older and especially being retired and with them so much. Myshka passed 6+months ago and I know it is time to open our hearts again. We have been buying stuff for a cat Christmas once again. We had a blast when we got Martooni for our x-mas gift. No idea if we want a male or female…as always one has to call to us.

No news yet. Yesterday was the true expected due date of one of the moms. In true fashion I hoped a day or two early and now it will be a day or two late lol.

Finally some news! The mommy that was supposed to have babies second had her litter this morning. My breeder sent me a pic of the first 5 and said there might be more to come. An hour or so later she sent me a Video of mommy purring and 6 kittens total were born. I will share pics when she starts sharing on her social media and want to make sure I have permission.

From what I can possibly tell, some torties, a red and I believe a full black. In a couple of days they should change a bit and she will hopefully share more. She later sent me a screen shot of which was the first mommy due with the camera focused on her in her nesting box…so now we wait again lol. Very excited.

So tonight the second mommy had 7 babies. Again until they thrive and she says yes I can post etc i will hold off. I’d prefer to shares pics when we narrow down our top picks…not to mention the third Mommy is still nesting and it should be soon. It was so exciting as she shared step by step what was happening with the birthing events today.

First litter is starting to darken up already…some torties and I think solids in that litter from what I can see (they are still light) but in today’s litter solids and bi-colored babies.

So the last mommy had 4 babies. So now we wait and see how they all develop. Two in this last litter are thermal so have no idea what color they will be. I figure in a few weeks the breeder will decide which she is keeping she thinks probably 2 or 3 between the 3 litters. Then we will really start thinking which baby is going to be our Christmas baby!

We are not leaning toward anyone yet. That means neither sex or color. I hate to seem aloof, but respecting our breeder and her sharing pics on her sites and so many with me. All 3 litters are so different…and some are elf so we will just sit back and wait…2 from first litter opened one eye each….so silly. The tiniest baby of the litters has double their weight in 3 days which is awesome…Breeder said her job know is running from room to room putting babies on boobies LOL.
