Hi all,

It's been a while since I posted. Hoping to be more active since we welcomed Maui into our family last night. He's 8 months old and we've taken him in from a home where he was loved but not happy. He was named by one of the children in his previous family and we're keeping it as he answers to it.

Introductions to the rest of our animals is going better than expected, mainly because he's a fearless little soul (he reminds me so much of Rankle). Anubis (our other sphynx) has been cuddling up and grooming him already, Dajjal (our Siamese) is voicing his displeasure at the interloper but is just keeping his distance and River (the dobermann) loves him. Here's hoping he settles quickly and is happy with us.

@Beckinboots Hello my friend!!! welcome back! melt my heart, bless your heart for giving adorable Maui his purrfect forever home. He looks very comfy and I want to give that nose and cute face a big kiss. I truly believe our Beloveds send us the one to love like they knew in this world.. Rankle certainly sent you sweet Maui. I kept my adoptee names too (except for beloved Tobylove who was clueless about his supposed name Prince.

I am looking forward to you being active with pics tales and updates!

So happy Anubis and RIver pup loving Maui! My rotties and now aussies always loved when I brought them a friend to love. My childhood Siamese certainly had her opinion to voice too in the beginning. sharing, My moms siamese and balinese adoptee took a little more time and became besties after establishing pecking order.

Maui is soo darling!!! hugs n head smooches to all paws
my heart is soo happy for your family.
Maui struck gold in your hearts and home. Happiest Gotcha!

Thanks all. He's just been dropped off at the vet for castration. Sang his displeasure the whole way there :0
Double-checked what anaesthetic they're using with the vet doing the procedure and everything seems good. Hoping for a groggy kitty this afternoon because he's been screaming at me for not feeding him all night. Don't think I can function if he's one that goes hyper afterwards :0

He's back and jacked up on whatever they gave him. He's not calm and is acting like a lunatic, biting my hand and clawing at everything. Keeping him away from the other animals until he's calmer because I don't want him damaging his relationship with them but i hope he wears himself out soon - my poor hand is being tenderised :ROFLMAO:

@Beckinboots , glad Maui is back home.. speedy recovery vibes.
ouch, Please clean your hand carefully as cat bites can get infected quickly.

sharing, when my Tobylove was neutered, exactly the same behavior. I kept him separated too

He actually was stalking me, growling, leaping off the dresser attacking me like crazy. it was scary!
I called and updated vet.

It took several days for him to settle from whatever he had at the vet . I kept him in my bedroom with a blankie , a litterbox and food dish in the bathroom and stayed clear of him and put on soft music .

keep us updated on Maui.

@Yoda mom luckily he didn't break the skin; I've ended up on antibiotics for an infected cat bite before (from dear Rankle when I dared to take something toxic away from him - no good deed goes unpunished :0), so don't want a repeat!

Maui was a crazy so and so all afternoon. Destroyed 3 house plants, smashed pots, attacked the other cats, etc. He went to bed with me as usual, crashed out and woke up the perfect little angel he usually is.
