My hearts broken to have to post this. This is Dobby.
(Aka dibbles, dobs, dibby, or baaabby <3)
Location : south central Montana. I’m in belfry but he is living with his breeder in Billings for reasons I will discuss below.
Price: asking the max rehoming fee of $250. Also I can not travel or pay for any travel expenses so that would be on the new family to cover.
About Dobby :
Personality : he’s slow to warm up but he LOVES to cuddle and be petted. He gets the cookies and will run like a mad man around the house in between sleeping in the sunniest window he can find.
Dislikes : children , dogs, having his feet or belly touched most other cats.
Likes: laser lights! Large pompoms, crinkly ball toys,
Food: Dobby has a sensitive stomach. Food changes need to be done very slowly.
He currently eats AUTHORITY sensitive skin turkey and stomach along with authority turkey pate. His breeder is feeding him other stuff as well currently and says he is doing good though.
Forgot to add : he is neutered , microchipped, and utd on all vaccinations. All his medical records can and will be made available to the new owners
Back ground: Dobby has had some health concerns. As a kitten he was sick with something the vets couldn’t give me a solid answer. We got him better and he had been healthy with zero concerns until October when he had a bout of pancreatitis. The vets ( we saw several during this) all said from the various kinds of scans and imaging that 1) there was no damage visible to his pancreas from this. 2) his heart lungs and everything else look perfect. He had a full blood panel with a Pro-BNP done to evaluate heart function just incase. Everything came back perfect except for his pancreas stuff which was confirmed with the scans.
Dobby has been healthy since he recovered from that early November.
Reason for rehoming:
Dobby is my fur baby. I’m absolutely heartbroken over this….. Dobby came to me when I had a very little baby. My youngest son. And two toddlers. Dobby grew very attached to me. I am his person. But that meant he became jealous of my baby which only got worse. It started just swatting at my son if he got to close to Dobby. Then Dobby started nipping.
So the middle of January i was outside and my husband turned his back for a second to do dishes. Dobby bit my little boy in the face and that was the last straw. His breeders contract states he was to return to her in the event of needing to be rehomed and she will be a mediator to help with that. Plus she has the space currently to separate him while I do not.
*** special info***
Dobby loves adults once he settles in. He is already loving up on his breeder but does not like children.
** The home can not have children under 15 ish.**
He is doing well now that he’s past his quarantine and being allowed around other animals. But in my experience he doesn’t act right with younger smaller cats. He acts dominant and constantly bit at my kitten. But he would cuddle him too.
* preferably a no other pet home but may do well with a very slow intro to a non combative adult cat*. No dogs. He does not like dogs.
And most importantly * be his person since I can not love him with everything you have and give him his forever home he deserves.
I think that’s all the info I can think of. Please contact me with any questions
