Adoption information for Georgi And Sevastian
Ages: Sevastian born in May 2019, Georgi born in March 2021
Breed: Peterbald (hairless / velvet)
Location: Florida (Currently) and Virginia (during the summer)
Status: Neutered, vaccinated, healthy.
Sevastian and Georgi are not typical cats. They are affectionate, intelligent, emotionally connected companions who behave more like little shadows than independent pets.
They have been incredibly loved and carefully cared for. This decision has been extremely difficult for us, and finding the right homes matters far more than finding homes quickly.
After a great deal of thought, we have decided to expand our search and are now open to adopting them together or separately, depending on what environment will allow each of them to thrive best.
Because of their unique personalities and care needs, we are privately managing their adoption to ensure they are placed in stable, committed homes.
We will only consider applicants within approximately 10 hours driving distance of 33140 or 22824.
We live between south Florida and Virginia, and will only consider applicants within this approximate range to make ground transportation feasible. Due to their sensitivities, we will not consider shipping the cats by plane. Our goal is to rehome the cats with someone no further than 10 hours driving distance from either of our two homes. ( Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia )
Adoption Process
• To protect their wellbeing, we have a thorough screening process:
• Complete the application form
• Initial review for compatibility
• Video call interview
• In-person meeting
• Signed adoption contract
• Rehoming fee: $250 per cat
At our discretion, we may verify identity via government-issued ID or third-party screening, and may request veterinary records for pets owned within the past 10 years and personal or veterinary references. All information remains confidential and is used solely to verify prior pet ownership, responsible care, and ensure the safety and long-term well-being of the cats.
Why We Are Rehoming Them
This decision has been extremely difficult.
My wife and I previously worked from home together, but our business travel has increased significantly over the years, and we now travel together frequently. While we have relied on family when possible, we have not been able to consistently secure a trusted, live-in caregiver when we are away.
These cats require far more daily attention than we can reliably provide with our current lifestyle. They deserve a home where their emotional and social needs are fully met.
============================
About the Boys Health:
• Excellent overall health

• No urinary tract issues
• No history of marking or inappropriate elimination
• Veterinary records available and transferable to your vet

Personality & Behavior (Please Read Carefully) These cats are not typical cats.
Extreme Affection & Attachment
• They form deep emotional bonds with their humans
• They behave more like toddlers than independent pets
• They struggle with separation and can develop anxiety if attention needs aren’t met
Hygiene (Another Important Consideration)
• They do not clean their own bottoms
• They have solid stools, but often get what we call “poop crumbs”
• May require occasional wiping with unscented baby wipes
• This appears to be common among Peterbalds and linked to their perpetual kitten-like temperament
Care Requirements Environment
• Indoor-only

• Supervised time in a fully enclosed catio is acceptable
• We do not use sunscreen (concerns about ingestion); shirts are used instead for sun exposure

Travel & Pet Sitting

• Lack of attention while owners are away has caused serious behavioral issues in other Peterbalds (marking, defecation, anxiety)
Dogs & Other Pets
• Raised alongside a calm, well-trained large dog
• Comfortable with dogs that are relaxed and non-reactive
• Have never been chased or exposed to high-energy dogs
• Extremely docile and lack strong defensive instincts
Important Notes
• These cats are not hypoallergenic
• They are high-maintenance and emotionally demanding
• This is a lifelong commitment that requires patience, flexibility, and empathy

We sincerely appreciate your time, honesty, and understanding. These boys mean the world to us, and finding the right home — not just any home — is our highest priority.

Meet Sevastian (Sev) Velcro lap cat, part opera singer, part emotional support animal.
This is Sevastian. We call him Sev for short, but he probably should have been named Valentine, because he is the most loving cat imaginable.
Sev is brave, docile, adventurous, sensitive, empathetic, and deeply caring. He forms extremely strong emotional bonds with his people and truly wants to be part of your daily life.
Sev has very little interest in playing games or exercise as an adult.
He loves:
• Cuddling for long periods of time
• Being talked to and petted
• Being held closely and carried around the house
• Bird watching from the window
• Riding in his stroller outside and watching nature
During the summer months he also enjoys spending hours relaxing on his catio.
Sev is naturally fearless and is not intimidated by dogs or new environments. However, because he is extremely gentle and submissive, he would not be a good fit for homes with aggressive cats or dogs. He genuinely would not know how to defend himself.
He has not been raised around children, and loud or rambunctious kids who do not respect his space would likely be frightening for him.
One very important thing to know about Sev is that he is extremely vocal. When he wants attention, he will loudly sing until he gets it. His dramatic opera-style vocals can occur at random hours, so he does best with people who are comfortable with a talkative and expressive companion.
Sev is incredibly gentle and has never been a biter or scratcher.
Because he is hairless, he loves heating pads, warm blankets, and cozy sleeping areas.
Major Consideration: Sevastian is very vocal and demanding of attention.
Occurs when:
• He wants to be held,
• If there is a door between you and him,
• After using the litter box,
• For no apparent reason.
His vocalization is relentless and can last for hours if his attention needs aren’t met.
This can be extremely disruptive for:
Light sleepers, People working from home, or Homes with young children
Intelligence & Mischief
Extremely smart and curious
Can open doors and cabinets
Sev has accidentally locked us out of the house trying to open the door after we stepped out to check the mail
Childproof locks may be required
Closed bedroom or office doors may not stay closed
Who will love Sevastian the most
Someone who spends a lot of time at home and truly enjoys having a deeply affectionate companion. People who want a cat that stays close, cuddles frequently, and forms a very strong emotional bond tend to fall in love with Sev immediately.

Meet Georgi (George) The Pink One
A playful little hairless lion with a gentle and a forever kitten-like personality.
This is Georgi, though we often call him George, or jokingly refer to him as “the baby.”
George has a very kitten-like personality even as an adult. He is playful, curious, and enjoys following his people from room to room to see what they are doing.
He loves interactive play and will often pester his older brother Sev to try to start a game.
George is very gentle and sensitive, but also a little picky in the way younger siblings sometimes are. He loves attention and interaction with people he knows well, but he is not especially brave with strangers at first.
Loud noises or unfamiliar sounds can startle him, so he does best in a calm and predictable environment.
George is generally a quiet cat. He mostly talks when he is greeting you or asking for snacks.
Important things about George:
• He loves playing and chasing toys
• He enjoys following his people around the house
• He is extremely gentle and would never scratch or bite
• He prefers calm environments with predictable routines
George is also sensitive to chaotic environments. Hyper dogs or erratic behavior from children would likely make him very fearful.
Because of his gentle and trusting personality, George should not be placed with aggressive cats or dogs, as he has very little instinct for self-defense.
Like his brother, George needs warm places to sleep and enjoys heating pads and blankets.
He may also need shirts for warmth or sun protection, depending on the environment.
Who will love Georgi the most
Someone who enjoys a playful but sensitive companion and can provide a calm home environment. Gentle households where people enjoy interactive playtime and cozy evenings together tend to bring out George's best personality.
