Its been a full 7 days since I had the mean old ping pong ball removed from my head.

Positive: I have not had a single migraine. No migraine aura. No nausea. Nope! No migraine or migraine symptoms at all!

Negative: I have come to the conclusion I hate these stitches! I keep accidentially pulling on them and it hurts! Last evening, I carried groceries into the house and wound up yanking on them somehow. And I assure you I was not carrying groceries with my head! Or hair!!!!

Positive: Its healing. Healing is a process and I understand that! The rest of my hair covers up the bald spot. And aside from pulling the stitches I've been virtually pain free!!!!!

Thank you all for your well wishes, healing thoughts and prayers!
The lair is truly a magical place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lots of Love,

Yay for no migraines, boo for stupid stitches! When can they come out (or are they dissolvable)?

Glad the surgery went well and you are feeling better! Fingers crossed that was the cause of all your problems and you make a complete recovery :)

That must be the most annoying place to have stitches. are you having to leave your hair all caveman wild as brushing it hurts?

Can't believe that evil horn was giving you all that trouble!! :cautious:

That is wonderful, truly! So glad you are feeling good (except the stiches). Those do suck. They itch so bad.

Try some ice on it or make your own reusable cold (slush) pack. Just mix together equal parts water and 70% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) in a Ziploc bag. Squeeze out the excess air and seal the bag. Put that inside a second Ziploc bag and seal. Place in the freezer for several hours (it will remain slushy) and use as you would any ice pack. Store in the freezer until needed again. These keep practically forever. Can be made any size you need.

Lots of Love,

I've been thinking of you, Sara, and hoping that you've had NO MORE headaches. I'm so happy for you that your headaches, etc. are gone. That's so wonderful. You deserve to be pain-free and be able to function from day to day.
I'm sorry about your problem with the stitches. When do they come out...or are they self-disolving stitches?

Best of health to you.

As my mom would say - 'quit poking it'. ;)
But seriously, I hope it's not that. Have you contacted the doctor?

I don't poke it, Petey keeps poking it!!!! Yes, I contacted Dr K's office but since I have an already scheduled appointment for next week, they can't get me in any sooner. Its just a wait and see!!!!

Oh Sara, I was also ready to start celebrating the loss of the migraines.....but will continue the prayers for this new lump you have found. I hope it is something simple and easily taken care of. I love ya, Girlie and need you to be 100%.
Hugs from the gang and me,
