Well, I had an eventful weekend. My husband is in Toronto so it was just Bruce and I at the house. We had a great time together, lots of playing and blanket forts all over the house. Friday night Bruce was extremely hyper and I was cooking in the kitchen. Suddenly he jumps up on the stove (from the floor, which he’s never done) and lands directly on the burner that’s boiling water. Poor baby! He hopped off right away and tried to check him over for burn marks but he just wanted to play.... little monkey. Then this morning as I’m unloading the dishwasher he tried to jump from one counter to the other, missed and landed inside the dishwasher on the rack with all those pointy things. Ahhhhh! I screamed and utensils went flying as I grabbed him as quick as I could. As far as I could see, just a small cut on one of his pads. There’s a visible burn on his hind leg today too. He really was testing his mama this weekend. Ive included a picture of him in the sink. He climbed in there on his own after I filled it to wash some dishes! He was into the bubbles.

What a cutie! Maybe having more play in his routine would help him not be so mischievous. These guys can be a bundle of energy. Maybe it's a good thing that he's so release with the water? He should be pretty okay with being bathed . Though I can understand the frustration of hours quarky personality.

Bruce is a wild man! I don't think he wanted you to do any housework, this weekend. He's adorable!

Thanks! Haha yes he is crazy sometimes for sure. I keep saying he has entered his terrible twos. We are bringing home a brother for him next month so I’m excited for him to have a play mate.

Thanks! He certainly is quirky! I try to play with him lots but sometimes i think he just needs another kitty to play with. We are bringing home a brother for him next month, so I’m excited to see them play together! (After the initial introductions and time to warm up to each other):D

@RoseEllen , ooooh Bruce you wild man
Be sure to keep an eye on the burn - you could call his vet for suggestions

I now have to put my kitties in my bedroom when I use the stove or oven amd wait till it cools -
Lol I now use the BBQ grill 99.9 % of the time now
They are little monkeys! Watch for the dryer too before ever putting it on especially between dryer loads -
I swear they keep us on our toes

Healing vibes
Keep us updated often

That’s funny you mention the dryer. My hubby and I are both so cautious when doing laundry. I allllways make sure I have eyes on him before shutting the doors. He’s been known to climb in there. Also the first week I had Bruce I was doing laundry and couldn’t find him anywhere and he was always in the same room as me. I turned off the washer and started frantically ripping out wet clothes haha. Even though I knew he didn’t climb in there it still scared me. I found him an hour later sleeping in a basket on a shelf. Good advice re: the burn mark. I’ll be sure to keep an eye on it!
