Hello everyone and thanks in advance if you read my post
Cleo loves to suck the bit of flesh in between my thumb and finger
Whilst she does this I gently rub her head back etc with my right hand ( she only sucks the left ) when I rub her head it gets very warm and she secrets like oilly stuff it doesn't appear to have an odour , but her purr is like a steam train ( I love it ! )
Cleo doesn't have dry patches so as of now I haven't used coconut oil I purchased ,
The breeder told me to bath her in johnsons baby shampoo which we have done when she takes a bath , if I feel she is secreting enough oil and she doesn't have dry patches . Am I doing the right thing ?
Also she eats dry and wet foot " whiskers " its 2 month to 12 month , I add some fish once a week , she does eat quite a lot of both dry and wet but she isn't over weight ,
She. Gets excerise daily playing fetch 4 or 5 plus plus times a day..
Some on told me that as she hasn't got fur she needs to eat plenty to keep her body temp right is this correct ??
All my adult married life ( was19 when we married 38 yrs ago ) we have had pets I wasn't allowed as a child , we have had some amazing dogs and a few cats ( Persian ) but never have I felt love to the degree I love Cleo that sounds terrible I did love my other pets but didn't have the conection I have with Cleo ..
I was told to give her raw minced beef with mackerel this is the best diet for her
Please any advice would be great sorry to have digressed so much
Thank you kind Regards
Anita & Cleo xx

If she is drying out and patchy I would bare less often, we go a month or two at times. Also a better shampoo may help:
What type of shampoo should I use on my Sphynx Cat?
  • Hylyt pet shampoo.
  • D'grease pet shampoo.

You're such a great mommy for Cleo. The bond with a sphynx is so special and strong, I can second that.

Sphynx do indeed need to eat to keep their temperature up. When they're kittens you can free feed them so they can eat all they want.

I bath my sphynx boys once a month. My girl can go without a bath for 2 months. It depends on your sphynx skin and how much she likes bathing. I know more members use dr Johnsson.
