...for those of you who are not FB friends with me, I wanted to share the exciting news that Shelby Ann Wilkinson decided that she wanted to be a March baby and NOT an April baby.

The OB sent us to the hospital for some BP concerns on Thursday and on Saturday, she joined this crazy world. She weighed in at 7lbs and 4oz and is 19 3/4 inches long.

She eats like a horse, and sleeps the rest of the time (proof she is my child..LOL)

Here are a few pics of our little angel!

Me on the right and Shelby on the left, she looks a lot like me at her age

Mark and Shelby - These pictures make me all mushy!

Shelby is getting along with the kitties and the kitties are ready for her to leave

Eveyone is doing great, just exhausted from this journey.

I will share with you guys because I know you will understand. I am keeping this off facebook because of the haters who say "Don't let those kitties near that baby...blah blah blah" She is MY baby and we are right there next to her.

So Lilah LOVES Shelby already and runs over to her whenever she cries so we opened the pod she jumped in and looked concerned, then she started to lick her to tell her it would be alright, I was in tears!

This reminds me of when our son was Shelby's age and our then-landlord came to see the baby. She actually asked me when we were getting rid of our cat, because "everyone knows cats suck babies' breath!" When I told her that I was NOT getting rid of the cat, she said that the cat would kill my baby. That cat was with us for 8 more years and the "baby" is turning 40 years old this year--so I guess he survived!

I just don't understand why it is assumed you get rid of a cat when you have a baby! You never see people asking dog people about getting rid of Rex when the baby arrives....

As I have said all along, we are in this together (all 8 of us) and we will all learn to get along :D
