Many of us have made connections and have stay in touch with others who have loved and lost their naked babies over the years. We are blessed to celebrate, help and support one another for weeks, months and years due to the love of this amazing breed.
This community is small, but mighty. I have made friends/connections with many people for over 14 years in this group. I know a while back this forum almost shut down because many didn’t realize, although this forum is free to join this forum, it is not free to run on a server. Members have been great in giving when they can to donate to the monthly goal of $40 and keep Sphynxlair alive. Thank you !!!!
We lost a boy a couple of months ago and had members reach out to me saying they didn’t know what to do, they wanted to send something, but didn’t want to trigger our feelings etc…I am sure many of you have felt the same way. Nothing helps. We didn’t need/want anything we were just gutted by our loss.
I gave it some thought last week, going forward if you are at a loss, perhaps a $1 to $5 donation to this group in honor of the member’s baby they lost might be a possibility if you have a connection with a member and want to do something. A sympathy card is almost $5 these days. It’s not about the amount of the gift…it is the gesture of dealing with the loss together…this is how many of us have connected and might be a way to grieve together and honor a baby.
Our friendships will be forever due to this community. I stumbled upon this group just like you did. Your donation can be anonymous and you can make a note who the donation is in memory of.
I don’t own this forum, but I have supported it and believe there is something special about the members in it and I am thankful so many of us stay connected because of Sphynxlair.
