? About breeder advice protocol

I know breeders can't be talked about on the open board, but can we ask for experiences with specific breeders to be shared via pm?

I don't think we are allowed to name specific breeders in any of our posts on the board. You could possibly ask people to PM you about any positive or negative feelings about breeders they have dealt with. But you can't write a post and say something like "Please send me a PM about__________" And even then, please remember that one person's experiences may not be the same as yours with a particular breeder. One person may say this breeder or that one is wonderful and you might deal with that same breeder and think they were terrible--or vice versa. The admins feel it is just better not to mention any cattery or breeder by name on the board--because it isn't fair to almost anybody concerned. And we don't want to appear that we are endorsing any one cattery over another--neither do we want to be guilty of spreading unfounded rumors or opinions that damage the character of others that might be members. So much of doing business with someone is one of perceptions--and what is true for one may be totally different for another.
Thanks for understanding the policies--they just want to be fair to everyone. Just write that you would like to hear anyone's opinions on the breeders they have used and ask them to PM you.
