I am in LOVE with our new rescue Spock, who is a beautiful, big and strong 2 year old male. We brought him home about 3 weeks ago now to our Alfi (who is male and 3years old that we’ve had since he was a kitten). When our old rescue passed 6 months ago, I felt we were ready to a new addition.
The boys run and chase each other, will “semi” snuggle through blankets, eat side by side, use the same litter box etc.
75% of the time they seem like classic Sphynx brothers.
However, 25% of the time the fighting escalates and our older can will pin our new rescue with his teeth (sometimes at the throat). While it’s never pierced the skin, it has definitely left marks. We still don’t leave the boys alone together if we are out, and they have seperate spaces. But I just wanted to check in and see if anyone had any insights about this? Is this normal? Should I be concerned? How can I train/teach gentler behaviour?
