Hi. Yes - we do have a conclusion to this thread. I posted the results here. The title of the thread is
"Marvin Had Another Fainting Spell - but this time ..."

Marvin went a whole year without any more episodes.
However, in September 2018 - almost exactly a year from his first episode, he had another incident. This time he was at my daughter's house. Out of the blue, he cried in pain, collapsed (fainted), pooped himself, came to within a minute, panted like he was trying to get air. My daughter rushed him to the vet. They placed him in an oxygen tent, and gave him some sort of a shot to help him. He remained there for a while and didn't get any better. The previous 2 episodes he recovered very quickly (within a half hour or sooner). The end result was that Marvin was put down on the advice of the vet - he was not going to survive this episode. It was Marvin's heart that caused the episodes. I believe it was heart arrhythmia – irregular heart beat. Something very common in Sphynx.

It has been a few months, and we are all still healing but talking about perhaps purchasing another Sphynx in the spring. This time, we will be sure to purchase from a reputable breeder, with health checks and we will be purchasing insurance!

I am curious about the symptoms your kitty is experiencing. I hope it isn't his/her little heart.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, and I'm sorry to bring it up again.
I'm still not sure what's going on with my boy, but we're working on figuring it out! I made a post about it here: partial seizures - HCM or Neurological?

I'm still trying to get ahold of my cardiologist, but the holidays are kind of putting a wrench in everything. Luckily he's pretty stable for now.
