Hello Everyone! I have a question.Royal is 16 weeks old and randomly became aggressive. i thought it was play aggression and thought nothing of it, but today he lunged for my face. Luckily I moved at the knick of time, but he bites hard. I'm not quite sure what to do. Any suggestions?

One minute Tyler is purring while sitting on my chest and the next he is attacking my hand like it's a mouse he just found and decided to play with and or eat! LOL He doesn't really use his claws but he does use his teeth and it hurts sometimes. I always try to say 'shhhhhh' when he get a wild hair up his bum and attacks me then I just stop moving. That usually makes him stop... but yeah the play eating of the hand and in your case the face is normal I guess. If there is something you are doing to make him snap into hunter mode try to not do it anymore. Pay attention to everything you do and see if you are making him act out.

maybe you should try the cat whisperers trick of slowly blinking while looking the cat in the eyes. It means I love you. ;)

It sounds like the typical kitten play to me, He is used to his brother and sisters wrestling around with him all day. When he is playing to rough or bitting a stern NO and remove him from the area.(placing him an the floor is ok) You have to tell him NO every time so he gets it. If you let it continue there is a chance he will do this as an adult and that will be no fun.
Also try a small plastic bottle filled with pebbles or something that will make a noise and shake that when you want him to stop something.
After he calms down petting him will let him know that you are not mad but just do not like when he bites.

Our Timmy bites a little too. He doesn't bite either of us much but bites visitors when they play with him.:Surprise: He seems to get worked up by dangling fingers and arms. I am going to try the howl/high pitched meow. Come to think of it when he is playing with his "uncle brother" Koko ( my mom's siamese) he does bite and Koko will make noise. Otherwise they wrestle quietly.
