Amen-Ra

I just returned from the vet with Amen-Ra. He was breathing oddly yesterday for about 10 minutes or so..wanted to get him checked out. He was his normal self the rest of the day and this morning. I got him to the vet and she wanted to do a set of x-rays. Sadly they showed that both his atria are now enlarged. He's off to the cardiologist soon (have to contact her assistant tomorrow to make the appointment) for another echo. My poor boy, I am in tears writing this

Thank you for all the well wishes everybody. I'm taking Amen in Monday for his appointment. His regular vet feels beta blockers will help him out....he has a very rapid heartbeat in addition to the second enlarged chamber. He's still acting like himself...eating, playing and loving...so I am hopeful he can be stabilized. It just seemed so soon to me (not quite 3 months) after his initial diagnosis for conditions to worsen.
