Gizmo - or for the show: The Full Monty - is now a Grand Premier!!!
He actually behaved fairly well, only getting most fussy during the stroll between the benching area and the rings, though by the end of the day he did hiss a bit for the last judge. (I will confess that we've had him on an anti-anxiety med (same as Toothy's) for the past month in preparation for the show after talking with the vet about trying to show him one more time so I'm sure that helped.)
He finished the show with 5 points to spare getting 3 Best Shorthair Premier, 3 Best Allbreed Premier, and 3 2nd Best Shorthair Premier ribbons. We are thrilled! And he is done now - no more shows for Giz or Sammi.
Hubby actually took him to the rings since I was so nervous he was going to freak, so I took the traditional ribbon picture with him holding Giz.
But since we were so thrilled and I had done all of Gizzy's showing before, Hubby took a picture of me with Giz & his ribbons. As you can see by Giz's expression he is well and truly done with the show at this point and just wanted to go home.
