Early on last year months before we got Blue a stray kitten turned up on our front step, she was so tiny, underweight & being picked on by all the other cats in the neighbourhood, i could hear her crys of a night time as the male cats mated with her & i was heartbroken she just hid under my car & was to scared to come out because of the big cats, i tried coaxing her out with treats & food & i was devastated that this little black kitten was struggling outside alone, i finally won her trust & brought her into my house, frontlined her & fed her up but every time she saw my dogs she totally freaked out & went crazy hissing and scratching everything in sight like a possessed animal
anyway to cut a long story short i convinced my elderly next door neighbours to take her in as they had lost their cat cuddles aged 23 a few years earlier, their great-grandaughter named her cuds & she turned out to be the sweetest cat you could ever meet, they took her to the vets as she had a lump on her tummy, it turned out to be a hernia but the kitten was pregnant proberbly caught by the toms on her first season
they agreed with the vet she was to young to cope with kittens & aborted the pregnancy & had her spayed & chipped....last summer every day she would come & lie in my hallway & sunbathe (im sure that she knows i saved her), she gets on great with Fifa & does not mind the dogs at all now she is used to them but only lets me & my neighbours hold her & stroke her she is so timid & terrified of strangers & not at all confident...so this week my neighbours have gone on holiday & left me the keys & on pet duties, i thought it would make more sense just for cuds to stay at our house so shes not alone but Blue has different ideas...he hates her, hes hissing, showing all his teeth & making it quite clear she is not welcome in our house, he is being so nasty its untrue, i have never ever seen him like this !!! So poor cuds is in next door all alone of a night & i know my neighbours usually allow her in their bed
i feel so mean but this is Blues house & i dont want to rock the boat, is there any point going through a slow introduction when my neighbours will be home next week ??, its just so sad to think of cuds home alone
also i was planning on getting another sphynx to join our family maybe next year, how am i going to do that when my beautiful Blue is being such a spoilt brat ?? .....
