Thoughts for Pearl today as she recovers from a trip to the emergency vet, not sure what happened yet just that she has ingested something that did not settle well with her and giving her tummy problems and making her feel miserable. She would appreciate some love from fellow naked babies

@Presleyallison I hope that Pearl continues to feel all better and no surgery to have to remove the foreign object. I'm continuing to pray for her though. Please keep us updated.

So scary. HUGS

So far that is great news! Just remember (God forbid) if they do have to do surgery, remind your vet not to use Ketamine for the anesthesia. The breed is known for not doing well on it. Ask for ISO instead. I just know some times it can get very stressful and people forget that one thing if emergency surgery is needed.

@Presleyallison I'm so glad Pearl is doing very well. But again, please continue to keep a close eye on her and her litter box, etc. Many years ago, I had a golden retriever. The family and I were eating dinner at the kitchen table and one of my children dropped one of those 1/2 ear's of corn on the cob. The golden ate it before we could pull our chairs back to take a look under the table. She seemed fine and continued to be fine, so we forgot about it within the next few days.

THREE weeks later, my golden was rather quiet and not herself one day. Next thing I knew, she vomited up a necrotic 1/2 ear of corn on the cob totally in one piece! We never even suspected that she ate it whole without chewing it up! She was fine after that, but so scary to see and smell it.
